English Wine Week

And I bet you were saying to yourselves that you didn't think England had wine but there you go. We had a lovely day out on a rare sunny afternoon to a small and very cute winery. They were giving away special wine tours as part of the promo and so we hopped along to walk about this amazing place. The land it was on has been farmed since 1000 AD when a 100 hectare were given to a lord of sorts. the land was then to support his family, including aunties, uncles, cousins etc as well as every body's servants. The oldest building was from the 13th century and was very cool with the wooden beams. We had a look around the press and all the wine making machinery which was very interesting. They do of course whites only as they don't have the weather with all for the reds though they are trying some.

They did have a very nice dry white which reminded us of home. All the grape varies were of German origin (so don't expect me to spell them for you). They had three other whites we could take or leave, and as it happened we left them. They also had two bubblies, one white and the other rose. Both were rather yummy so we took one of each. They also had excellent ice cream which the foozle and I sampled. We then left the place though did do some frollicking around the vines in the sun. see pics.

One step for small Timothys, One giant leap for Timothy kind

Yippee, yes our very super cute son has done it. And indeed it was not just one step but five in a row before he crashed. His proud parents stood stunned before jumping about wildly, much to the confusion of the Timothy who really didn't understand the excitement. We were very luck to both have been home to witness this. The event was (for posterity) Thursday at 5.40pm 29 May. No visual documentation of this talent as yet as there was not a repeat performance but will be coming soon.

Birthday Boy

Timothy is one today. It is hard to believe that a year has already past. We have loved it all even the very hard late nights. Hows this, first birthday went for six hours. Party animal, what's he going to be like as a teen, eeek. He was lovely though did have a nap before the party and in the middle though the adults kept the bbq burning. We had a great time with lots of friends, big and little.

As you can see there were lots of pics done and of course we did a live cam feed for around two hours of the party that folks could log onto. Our lovely friend Terry is doing up a film of little snippets of the event so that will be on the blog soon too. The kids had great fun playing in a paddling pool filled with pastic balls, we also had a bubble machine, amazing what the kids have these days and also the blocks he got from his parents this morning.

Of course not surprisingly the toys were not the most interesting. The kids spent quite some time playing in the tub with all the drinks and ice. very cute.

We must say a big thank you to everybody for all the birthday wishes on this super special day and of course Timothy sends his love and thank you for all the cool pressies. He has had a great day playing with them all. We had a lovely day though are very tired now as we were up at 5.30 this morning. here is the boy pooped from partying....

I would like to thank God for such a wonderful, amazing and special little person that Timothy is. We can't image life without him and love him more than we could have dreamed. We are very lucky parents.

Walking in Sunshine

Yes that's right we finally got something that looked like a spring day. We took this opportunity to get out and walked to the nearest national trust place. This would be wimpole, which is a little over an hours walk from our house. We went with Terry and we checked out all the cute new buby animals. Super sweet. We stopped of at the farm shop which has lovely fudge and also had fresh cream made ice cream, yummy yummy yummy. We walked about seeing the lambies, baby piggies and other such cuties while young Timothy watched from his comfy spot on Dad's back in our super groovy foozle mover. He even has a snooze in it. We finished off our day of touring with a cuppa and then it was the walk back. This was a bit hard going on the pregnant person but I had a store of choccie mice to keep me going. Anyway check out some of the pics, very lovely.
