Posted by Ben on Eve's Behalf
Well after a week of racing about we have our new car and new house. Though on first viewing it was a bit worrying with no furniture.
The first night was a bit weird as we discovered the odd shower and a shed for the laundery without power or water (not Ben's fault as this night was his first viewing). But we made up our camping beds and tried to sleep. Upon awaking we heard lovely birds singing and went out to investigate, we found ourselves in the lovely village surrounded by forest and fields with horses near by (could hear them neighing). So it can't be that bad. It was an experience trying to have breakfast without a fridge or plates (will have to remedy this).
After Brekky we did go into town for shopping. And what better shopping but for the spare room, yes we will be buying a spare bed. We finished off our shopping by parking next to the wonderful river Cam that runs through Cambridge and walking along side to the city centre. We went to the book shop for a gardening book and then sat and whiled the away the time in a groovy cafe. After this we went back home and tried out our new gardening style in the sun shine and the treated ourselves by riding down to one of the local pubs. While we were drinking our refreshing beverages people rode by on horses. Is this incredible or what? Normally we would be wandering down a street with traffic all around, noise and lights. And here we are walking down lanes with hedges wondering when we will come across some cute little local animals.
